5 out of 5 stars All the basics covered   September 4, 2009

We have just returned to Lanzarote five years after our first visit. This guide is excellent at both coverage and detail of all the main sites and places to visit. These AA guides are clearly the best on the market, as we have used many of the others available. I particularly like the way in which places to visit are set out by area so that it is easy to plan days out. Another excellent product from this series.

Very good simple clear easy to use informative book. We used it daily and found it invaluable. Covers everything worth seeing on the Island. Information was accurate. Gave info on how to find places, value for money, opening times, must see things and hints on what to avoid! Would highly recommend.

The AA spiral guide of Lanzarote is a very well laid book. The recommended drives and walks are particularily helpful whilst the wire spine makes the guide very user friendly

5 out of 5 stars A perfect driving companion   February 15, 2010
M. G. Kilner (Herts., UK)
Looked at a few reviews for Lanzarote guide books before embarking on a 1-week holiday there just before Xmas 2009. Needed something that had good detail across the whole island as we were driving that week rather than just chilling. Couldn't recommend it highly enough and it's robust enough to take a few knocks and scrapes. The spiral format works really well and we found some real hidden treasures thanks to its recommendations. Attraction pricing and opening hours all seemed up-to-date.

Lanzarote is really different, and we explored it thoroughly. The guide was really helpful at all times, and we did all the drives and walks in it. The maps are good, the details are spot on, and the rankings and advice are all just right. The spiral nature of the book makes it easy and versatile. We went with our friends John and Sue. John had another guide, which wasn't as good. I felt quite smug actually, except that John is dangerous when moved to jealousy, so I played it down.
